Moradabad: In pursuance of UP chief minister
Yogi Adityanath’s announcement, the government has so far distributed over 2.45 lakh tablets and smartphones in the state.
The distribution process is being carried out under the direct supervision of the CM. To digitally empower the youth in the state, as many as 97,740 tablets and over 1,48,238 smart phones have been distributed.
Out of these, 16,936 tablets have been distributed in Lucknow, 11,541 in Gorakhpur, 8,518 in Moradabad, 7,617 in Saharanpur and 5,323 in Pratapgarh. Similarly, over 25,770 smartphones have been distributed in Lucknow, 24,620 in Ambedkarnagar, 12,990 in Moradabad, 10,776 in Saharanpur and over 10,346 in Muzaffarnagar. “The entire process, from registration to delivery of smartphones and tablets, is free. Students’ details are being provided by their respective colleges and the data feeding is being done at university level itself,” said an official from Hindu College, Moradabad.
As per the announcement made by the government, free smartphones and tablets will be given to two crore youth in order to make them technically advanced.
